The Woman I Admire The Most Essay

The person that has influenced my life is my mother because she is the one person that has always stood by my side, and always she encourages me to be the reach my full potential. My mother came from a different country not knowing a single word in English, not knowing anyone, for a better living, and future.

In Mexico, my mother was never able to go to school like most children do, because she was one of the oldest out of eleven children. While others were in class learning their abc's my mother was out in the ranch feeding the animals, planting seeds, or helping my grandmother with the younger siblings. As my mother became older the chances for her being able to go to school grew smaller because of economical reasons. Therefore, she never got the opportunity to learn how to read and write in school like most people did, instead, she had to learn it all on her own. My mother like many other people migrated to the United States of America for a better living opportunity. My mother did not know any English and moved to this country knowing only but a few words, such as "yes" "no" and "sorry". Can you imagine leaving your life behind; your family, your home, your job, and moving to a new country? To a place you know little about and trying to call it a new home. Hoping to somehow make a living out of a society which language you do not understand.

My mother came from Mexico to the United States as an illegal immigrant by crossing the dangerous river. Just by that, shows courage, and persistence, especially knowing that you could have had your life taken away along the way. She still took the chance into coming in to the United States because she knew she would have a better living. It took time and practice for my mother to learn enough English to get a stable job. My mother went from being a school cafeteria lady, cleaning houses, to working as housekeeping for hotels, and now, finally, having her independent business, Amway incorporated.

My mother has always provided me and my brothers the best educational opportunities that there could be, she has always pushed and strived for me to get all that I should and more. I admire my mother because she is a strong woman to have the courage to come to the United States not knowing if she would fail or succeed in a new a country. My mother has always had a big heart in caring for others, such as she's taken care of many of her family members, such as her nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers, and now currently taking care of her ill mother, while also raising her own family.

My mother has influenced my life because she shows determination and perseverance, and has encouraged me into doing all that I can which is going to school to finish my Bachelor's in Social Work to help others just as my mother has helped many people. My mother has sacrificed so much to come to this country and worked so hard to finally be here legally so that one day she can see me cross the stage of my college graduation and receive my degree like she and I have always dreamed of.

Wow, great job, Ramirez! We are lucky to have your participation. :-)

The person that has influenced my life is my mother because she is the one person that has always stood by my side, and always she encourages me to reach my full potential. ---I like the way Ramirez corrected it, too. But you must cut out "be the"... I think that was a typo.

This is well written, but if it is for admission you should use it as an opportunity to show how serious you are about your chosen field. You do not have to choose a field yet, but think of some career fields that interest you. Think of a detailed plan for college and tell how your mother influenced that plan. You can use this as an opportunity, because it gives you a chance to explain how your mother influenced the decision that makes you want to attend this school

We might have met up with a lot of people throughout our life, yet people leave and life still goes on as what it used to be. The person that I admire the most is none other than my mother. I admire her the most as she possesses most of the qualities that we should have in order to success in our life.

I think one of the most endearing qualities she possesses is genuineness. When you meet a genuine person, they tend to look you directly in the eye and many times they touch you in order to connect. That’s how she communicates with others. She doesn’t have the average walls up that many people have in life. She seems to touch everyone in a way where one can immediately connect with her and for sure she has no false pretenses. She crosses all barriers and has the ability to connect with others and radiates great empathy to others. It’s almost like she has an additional sense. She never pretended to be perfect or know all the answers but one thing is for sure anything she tells you is coming straight from the heart.

She has been very patient with me and supports me in everything I do. She has done a lot to boost my self-confidence and self-esteem. She does not scold whenever I fail in something, instead she will console me and make me feel better by telling me stories about her own failures and achievements throughout life. She also makes all kinds of sacrifices, big and small for the sake of her children. She has always been my source of inspiration and pillar of strength.

My mom is the one that is always there, the person I can count on, the one that will never turn her back on me. The one that supports, helps, hug, kisses, gives me confidence, comforts, listens, makes me laugh, cheers me up and wipes my tears. She will definitely be the one that I always admire and love the most.
